Dr. Evlyn K. Smith has always known she wanted to become a doctor, but discovering chiropractic gave her a clear sense of purpose. With a background in Exercise Science and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University, she found a profession that brought together her passion for health, movement, and helping others. Her experience serving others on a chiropractic mission trip to Peru further strengthened her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.
Today, Dr. Evlyn is passionate about helping individuals and families discover how chiropractic care can become part of their journey toward better health and well-being. She believes in caring for the whole person and is committed to serving her community through chiropractic care, wellness, and the love of Christ. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys volleyball, swimming, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Dr. Blake Smith.
Dr Evlyn K. Smith, D.C. was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Family changes allowed her to move around a bit in high school that lead her to attending Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas where she graduated in the top 10% of her class.
Immediately following her graduation, she knew she would pursue higher education and completed her undergraduate degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Exercise Science in 2016.
She always knew she wanted to be a doctor, she just had to choose the right field. She prayed for a clear sign as she was already headed to the DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) program at Hardin-Simmons University but knew there was something more. She discovered a local Chiropractor, interviewed him, became an intern and shortly after was hired there and never turned back.
She currently loves any chance to play volleyball or get out in nature for a swim or a nice hike. These are most enjoyed spent with her husband Blake Smith, D.C. whom she met during her time at Parker University where they both received their doctorates in chiropractic.
While completing her doctorate, she took the incredible opportunity to go serve hundreds of people in Peru on a 7-day Chiropractic mission trip. This trip ignited her passion for helping others and fueled her way to complete her studies. She is passionate about reaching as many people as she can help to help restore hope and healing naturally through chiropractic and the love of Christ.
